The project is related to a wide range of topics, but has a particular focus on producing commonly used products, that could directly go into a local market.
The main objective is to prove the possibility to make finished products within a single batch of work, that can be replicated for a single part or a small production, using only local infrastructure and labour.

The Made in a Fab Lab Workshop follows a modular structure. The first part is related to building the basis for producing goods in a Fab Lab, including techniques and processes. The second part focuses on the design, making and marketing of products, with the objective to build and document processes that can be repeated in any lab.
Each module is completed building an actual product, as a proof of concept of this process.
At the completion of the course, the participants will be able to continue to fabricate and work on their product in the Fab Lab Toscana facilities.
Successful projects built during the program will be exhibited at the Fab 13 Conference in Santiago de Chile on 31 July - 6 August 2017, and presented in all Made in a Fab Lab social channels.
